With the pitch deteriorating on Day 3, a half-century from Marcus Harris helped the visitors scramble for runs before declaring. NSW needed 426 to win, but Victoria's bowlers made use of the conditions to wrap up the game in the last hour of play on Day 3. Steve Smith once again top scored with 56, while Sean Abbott and Josh Hazlewood left the ground due to injury concerns earlier in the day and did not bat. Peter Handscomb was adjudged the Player of the Match for setting up the win in the first innings, and Victoria will celebrate a powerful victory, continuing their perfect Sheffield Shield season.
